Donor Advised Funds
A donor advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving program that allows you to combine the most favorable tax benefits with the flexibility to support your favorite causes. If you have a donor advised fund and your sponsor organization is participating, DAF Direct enables you to recommend grants directly to Citizen Schools Inc. (Boston, MA; EIN 04-3259160). Planned Giving
Citizen Schools values your critical long term support and welcomes you as a Founding Member of the Citizen Schools Legacy Society, honoring those who have included Citizen Schools as beneficiaries of their estate or long term charitable gift planning.
We thank you for considering the following Ways of Giving to help ensure Citizen Schools long-term work and sustainability. If you would like to discuss a planned gift of any kind, we invite you to contact us at externalengagement@citizenschools.org.
BEQUEST: A charitable bequest, included in your Will can specify that Citizen Schools receive a specific dollar amount or a percentage of estate assets. A charitable bequest can be unrestricted or restricted as to purpose and use. A charitable bequest may generate estate tax savings.
RETIREMENT PLAN: Citizen Schools can be named as a Primary, Contingent Beneficiary or Partial Beneficiary of an IRA, 401(K), 403(B). You may choose simply to add Citizen Schools to a Change of Beneficiary form at any time. Citizen Schools will deeply value your contribution, and your estate may be entitled to tax savings.
LIFE INSURANCE: You may name Citizen Schools as owner/beneficiary of an existing or new life insurance policy.
CHARITABLE TRUST: Citizen Schools can be a remainder beneficiary of a charitable trust that you may establish with your financial institution or another non-profit organization. Citizen Schools appreciates your including us generously in your long-term philanthropic planning.
DONATE STOCKS: A gift of stocks can be donated directly to Citizen Schools and may entitle you to significant tax benefits. Please consult your tax advisor for additional information.
